Kukkiwon (Chairman Jeon Gap-gil) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ilhwa Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Yoon-jin) to promote the development of Taekwondo.

Chairman Jeon Gap-gil, Administrative Vice President Noh Soon-myung, Director of Planning Ko Kwang-moon and other Kukkiwon executives, as well as Ilhwa representatives including CEO Kim Yoon-jin, Head of Global Business Division Kim Won-sik and Head of Strategic Marketing Innovation Kim Kang-rae attended the signing ceremony which took place on January 17 at 3 p.m. in the Kukkiwon lecture hall.

This agreement has been arranged to promote close mutual cooperation for the development and growth of Taekwondo by sharing network resources and experiences between Kukkiwon and Ilhwa.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on ▲using and promoting Ilhwa’s products at events hosted and organized by Kukkiwon and, ▲providing beverages, including bottled water, and health functional foods.

Before signing the MOU, CEO Kim Yoon-jin said, “It is an honor to sign this agreement with Kukkiwon which is the heart of Taekwondo. Taekwondo is the true origin of the Korean Wave and a driving force behind its global popularity. We will do as best as we could to support the growth and development of Taekwondo.”

Chairman Jeon Gap-gil said, “While Kukkiwon and Ilhwa use different methods, we both work towards creating future value to contribute to global peace. I hope today’s agreement serves as an opportunity for both organizations to thrive together.”
