New Year's Message

Dear beloved members of the Taekwondo family!

2025, the Year of the Blue Snake, has arrived. With the energy of the Blue Snake, I wish you achieve all your wishes in this new year.

I sincerely hope that this year brings warmth, courage and hope espeically to those in difficult situations.

The year 2024 was a meaningful year. We celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team which has served as a civilian diplomatic mission and laid the foundation for the globalization of Taekwondo.

Also, by working tirelessly towards building bases for overseas operations, we’ve established offices in over 100 countries and from here, we are expanding international partnerships and collaborations.

I belive we shouldn't have any order or prioritize when it comes to preserving our invaluable cultural heritage, Taekwondo.

We will take the achievements from last year as a stepping stone for further progress and will continue to make efforts to create a brighter future for Taekwondo.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have given your best in your respective positions over the past year. I also ask for your continued support, wisdom and love for Kukkiwon’s journey toward the development of Taekwondo.

I wish for your good health and hope this new year is filled with many opportunities for new beginnings and growth.
