Kukkiwon is releasing special video content "Masters of Breaking" celebrating its 52nd anniversary.

"Masters of Breaking" is entertainment-oriented video content where masters of taekwondo power breaking (fist, hand blade, speed, side/back kick), their training methods and breaking techniques are introduced.

The first episode will premiere on June 14th (Fri) on Kukkiwon's official YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/kukkiwonpr) and the content will be aired every Friday at 9 PM.

Aiming to promote and develop breaking which is one of many values taekwondo holds, Kukkiwon began planning and producing "Masters of Breaking."

Also, Kukkiwon hopes that "Masters of Breaking" will draw more attention to the power striking category at the "2024 Mungyeong World Taekwondo Hanmadang" which is the largest festival for the global taekwondo community.

"Masters of Breaking" consists of a total of 6 episodes.

It features instructors such as Jeong Sang-min who can break 16 roof titles with his bare fist, Noh Gyeong-jeong (knife-hand breaking), Kim Seong-yong (speed breaking), Jang Sae-yeong (fist breaking), Park Woo-sung (front/back kick) and Lee Yun-hee (fist breaking).

Park Jae-eun, a silver medalist in the taekwondo poomsae event at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, appears as the host and adds excitement by interacting with the instructors.

"Masters of Breaking" will be fast-paced to make the content more immersive for younger generations. It also provides English subtitles for international viewers.

"Breaking in taekwondo is as essential as sparring and poomsae. We hope the viewers find the true beauty of breaking through this content 'Masters of Breaking' and we hope the content helps us in promoting the discipline" commented Kukkiwon President Lee Dong-sup.

To promote the values of Korea’s national martial art taekwondo worldwide, Kukkiwon is putting a lot of energy into YouTube video content production. Kukkiwon is planning to release various taekwondo videos such as the web documentary "Don't Stop Taekwondo," “Taekwondo Poomsae” and "Finding the Sound of Taekwondo."
