The demonstration performance of the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team (hereinafter referred to as the Demonstration Team) at Incheon International Airport was a great success.

The demonstration performance took place at 4:30 p.m. on May 8th (Wed) at the Millennium Hall in Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 and the Demonstration Team captivated the audience with their performance.

This demonstration was held as a pre-event for the “Incheon Airport Trot Festa”, one of the regular cultural arts performances prepared by Incheon International Airport to celebrate Family Month in May.

The performance presented by the Demonstration Team, titled “Connection” symbolized the creation of various connections through Taekwondo which allows people to communicate and empathize with each other, transcending different cultures and ideologies.

During the 25-minute performance, the Demonstration Team showcased the dynamic and splendid side of Taekwondo through high-level techniques and disciplined forms and showed the strength of Taekwondo through demonstration of self-defense techniques.

The energetic performance by the Demonstration Team brought joy to domestic and international travelers visiting the airport and the event won the audience with a strong impression of Taekwondo.

"Incheon International Airport is where the first impressions of South Korea are made. I am delighted that we could showcase Taekwondo, which was the beginning and driving force of the global K-content craze, at such a meaningful place. We will make sure more people can experience the performances of the Kukkiwon Demonstration Team in various locations in the future" said Kukkiwon President Lee Dong-sup.
