Kukkiwon’s World Taekwondo Academy (WTA) held the "2024 Standardization Education for Instructors and Examiners".

The education took place at the Muju Taekwondowon from February 20th (Tue) to the 23rd (Fri). A total of 89 participants attended, including 42 practical instructors (forms, sparring, demonstrations, breaking, self-defense), 16 theory instructors, and 31 examiners (general and self-defense).

WTA offers this education every year to create a standardized educational environment necessary for cultivating Taekwondo instructors with professional knowledge and competence and, to enhance the reliability and fairness of evaluations by the examiners.

This year's education was divided into three parts – 1st part (forms, sparring, practical demonstration instructors), 2nd part (breaking, general and practical self-defense, self-defense theory instructors), and 3rd part (examiners).

For practical and theory instructors, the education proceeded in the order of △ understanding of the curriculum △ practical training (instruction methods and directions by field) △ discussions (standardized education).

For examiners, the focus was on fostering practical skills through △ understanding of evaluation methods according to the curriculum △ actual and mock evaluations △ discussions (analysis of mock evaluation results).

WTA plans to continue to provide quality education and offer additional standardization education for instructors and examiners in the second half of the year.

In addition, on February 2nd (Friday), WTA held the "2024 WTA Instructor and Examiner Appointment Ceremony" at the Kukkiwon Stadium.
