Dear members of the Taekwondo family!

2023, the new Year of the Black Rabbit has finally arrived.

It’s a new year that celebrates the past half-century of Kukkiwon and the beginning of another great half-century ahead.

Kukkiwon was established on November 30, 1972 as the central Taekwondo academy and has been striving to develop and globalize Taekwondo, working closely with members of the world Taekwondo family.

Kukkiwon which is at a new turning point, will concentrate all of its efforts and capabilities in 2023 to establish branches and representative offices overseas and, to build the second Kukkiwon.

We will also faithfully carry out Kukkiwon’s 5 key strategies and 10 core tasks for the future.

As the World Taekwondo Headquarters and to strengthen Taekwondo’s global and future competitiveness, we will take on new challenges and keep moving forward.

We would like to ask your continued love and support as we continue to develop Korea’s national martial art, Taekwondo.
