Kukkiwon to Openly Recruit Director Candidates, Applications to Be Accepted for 15 Days Until October 12
Applicants May Apply for Either Taekwondo-Specific or Non-Taekwondo Position, Applicants Accepted Only by Registered Mail or Email
Kukkiwon is openly recruiting director candidates.
The open recruitment will be divided into two job categories – Taekwondo-specific and non-Taekwondo-specific (Economy, Media, Accounting, etc). Kukkiwon is looking for individuals who have sufficient knowledge and career experience in the field they’re applying for.
Individuals who are disqualified according to Article 12 of Kukkiwon’s Articles of Association and, current executives or employees of organizations Kukkiwon’s ex officio directors are affiliated with such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, World Taekwondo Federation, Korea Taekwondo Association and Taekwondo Promotion Foundation are not eligible to apply.
The applicants must select and apply for only one of the job categories and applying to both categories is not allowed.
The application period is 15 days from September 28 (Wed) to October 12 (Wed), 2022 and applications will be accepted only by registered mail or email.
Required documents for the application are, △Application (including a picture) △Resume △Abridged Copy of the Resident Registration Certificate △Job Execution Plan △Certificate of Disciplinary History △Certificate of Absence of Grounds for Disqualification △Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information, Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties △Documents that Certify Applicant’s Education, Work Experience and Qualifications Such as Graduation Certificate, Certificate of Employment History and Other Licenses or Certificates and, △Consent to Background Check. These documents must be submitted in Korean or English.
Applicants born abroad may submit a resident registration certificate, graduation certificate, certificate of employment history and other licenses or certificates issued by their government.
Applications without all the required documents or applications that are not in the required, standard format, shall not be processed.
Also, only the “Certificate of Disciplinary History” issued by the organization the applicant has been or is affiliated with during the open recruitment period shall be valid.
The documents submitted shall not be returned and the selection may be cancelled if the application includes incorrect or false information.
The Kukkiwon Director Recommendation Committee deliberated and decided on all the matters relevant for the open recruitment at the “2nd Director Recommendation Committee Meeting” held on September 27 (Wed).
Once the open recruitment period ends, the Director Recommendation Committee will evaluate the application, select the final candidates and recommend them to the board of directors.
Even if the candidates are selected and recommended by the Director Recommendation Committee, the selection is decided by the board of directors according to Kukkiwon’s Articles of Association. The candidates appointed as director will start their 3-year term on the day of their appointment.
