Kukkiwon Runs Period of Intensive Personal Information Update to Form Electoral College |
From May 16 to June 30…Targeted to All Domestic and Overseas Recommendation Right Holders on Promotion |
Kukkiwon runs the period of intensively updating personal information to recommendation right holders on promotion to form the electoral college.
Kukkiwon has designated the period from Monday, May 16 to Thursday, June 30 as the period of intensively updating personal information, and encouraged the recommendation right holders on promotion who are preliminary electors to review and update their personal information including address and contact number.
The targets are all holders of the right to recommend those who apply for promotion domestically (through KPS, Kukkiwon Promotion System) and overseas (through KMS, Kukkiwon Membership System) given by Kukkiwon.
This is to minimize any inconvenience such as failure to receive notice on election due to errors or omissions of personal information in preparation for the formation of electoral college for the presidential election.
It plans to increase the accuracy of personal information through the voluntary participation of the recommendation right holders on promotion to prepare the election without hindrance.
Based on the updated personal information of the recommendation right holders on promotion, Kukkiwon will select and organize the electoral college in a random lottery from domestic and overseas right holders at the rate of 10%, respectively.
To update the personal information, please access the page of application for promotion at the website of Kukkiwon(Overseas: http://kms.kukkwion.or.kr).
The collected personal information by June 19 will be transferred to Taekwondo Online Platform ‘TCON’ on June 21. Since then, the registration and update of personal information is possible only through TCON.
Meanwhile, Kukkiwon has largely increased the number of electors from 75 to 1,300 persons by amending its Articles of Association in March 2022.
