As Kukkiwon has appointed the chairman of the 2022 technical council, the structuring of the council will be completed soon |
Lee Baek-woon, Vice President of Seocho-gu Sports Association, has been appointed as the chairman of the ‘2022 Kukkiwon Technical Deliberation Council (hereinafter referred to as “Tech Council”)’.
As a 9 Dan Taekwondo coach, Chairman Lee has served as a national coach of the 1989 World Cup Taekwondo Championships, president of the Seocho-gu Taekwondo Association, deputy speaker and chairman of the order and measures division, technical expert committee of the Korea Taekwondo Association, and he is currently serving as Vice President of Seocho-gu Sports Association.
Chairman Lee said, “I feel a heavy responsibility to take the position of chairman of the Kukkiwon Technical Deliberation Council” and added, “I will do my best to contribute greatly to the development of Kukkiwon, keeping the idea in mind that we all belong to Taekwondo family.”
The Tech Council is composed of 12 members, including Chairman Lee, Choe Jae-gu (Senior Vice Chairman), Kim Taek-su, Sin Dong-su, O Su-gon, U Gyu-sang, Lee Ja-hyeong, Lee Ho-yeol, Im Hyeon-sun, Ji Yong-beom, Heo Eui-sik (Vice-Chairman), and Jeong Bong-hyeon (Executive Member).
The Tech Council is re-organized every year for the purpose of efficiently promoting Kukkiwon's major projects.
Following the appointment of the chairman of the Technical Deliberation Council, Kukkiwon plans to complete re-structuring the Tech Council as soon as possible.
