Efforts to improve user convenience and readability by improving web accessibility through introducing responsive web technology |
Kukkiwon's website has obtained ‘Web Accessibility Quality Mark’ for the fifth consecutive time.
The website of Kukkiwon has passed the two-stage evaluation conducted by the Web Accessibility Quality Mark agency “WebWatch” designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT). The first document review stage comprises self-diagnosis results and document examination, and the second stage examines technical aspects including the expert evaluation and user evaluation.
With this, the website has obtained Web Accessibility Quality Mark for the fifth time in a row since 2017.
This mark is designed to ensure that persons with disabilities and the elderly have equal access to websites and that they experience minimal inconvenience in their use of websites. The mark must be renewed every year.
Kukkiwon has been striving to improve user convenience, web accessibility and readability by introducing responsive web technology to solve technical issues such as the broken characters encoding problem when users access the main website through mobile.
President Lee Dong-sup of Kukkiwon said, “More people is visiting our website, which is the face of Kukkiwon and an axis of publicity,” and he also mentioned, “We are not satisfied with obtaining the Web Accessibility Quality Mark for the fifth consecutive time, and we will make greater effort to make our website more user friendly.”
